Description
This Steller's Jay was waiting patiently as I filled the bird feeder. Being snowed in and without power up here in Mariposa , they were so entertaining to watch as they gathered around the feeder. The Steller's jay is a jay native to western North America. It is also known as the long-crested jay, mountain jay, and pine jay. It is the only crested jay west of the Rocky Mountains.
